Mac-->connecting 4502Xs via router

Is there a tutorial or guide to connect to the internal HD (4502Xs) from a MacBook Pro?

I have enabled NAS in the Mede8er and looked up the IP address it is using but I am unable to see the drive from my mac.
I can, however, see the shared DLNA folders from the Mede8er.

Thanks Jer1956, there are very interesting guides on that post.
However, I want to be able to see the internal drive in the Mede8er FROM my computer.

The guide in that thread explains how to see shared drives FROM the Mede8er which I can already do via Plex.
