hi - i have managed to place most of my standard def dvd's onto my mede8er with plenty space to go. i would like to do the same with my blu-ray's and cannot seem to find a proper ripper that can do it in a couple of simple clicks without running into copyright issues the whole time.

i have tried:
handbrake, moyea blu-ray ripper (works on some, newer copy protection makes it fall over/asks to email for support the whole time), Slysoft, Super C, Best HD BD converter/ripper, Pavtube - yip, tried them all and gets errors with new/latest blu's - i.e transformers 2 etc

i am not necessarily looking for something free, if it works well, i will pay for it - no probs.

i have an external blu-ray reader/writer (lg)

anyone with any good rippers for bd?

AnyDVDHD works fine.  It needs updating a lot though as new encryptions are introduced.
It'll only make one to one copies of your discs though.  To compress, copy movie only or make MKV's you'll need extra software.  DVDFab works great for compression.

I use a program makeMKV which rips any BD to a mkv file. Search for this file in Google and install. Very simple to use

Or for some advanced converting look for BluRip or BR-Rebuilder.
BR-Rebuilder shrinks a complete BR to a new BR for DVD5 or DVD9.

Try using Ripbot 264, it works brilliantly for me on normal DVD's. Haven't tried it for Blu-ray but it does support it.
