Heino,

Did you already try some factory reset in setup, then not set the red borders in video setup?
Also be sure that BDLight Menu option in setup is off (toggle with F3 button) or straight in the setup menu to verify it is off - otherwise you will run in 2D mode and you might not see true 3D effect but only some simulated thing by your TV.

I have found on dredd iso it will only play the 2d version , it might be how the disk is authored

I just ripped it in to a 3d mkv with make mkv and it solved the problem

It's a better way to keep the files as well

Look in the tips and tricks to learn how

Nemo works fine on mine if I have bd menu on I get a menu and it plays the 2d version if I have it off the 3d version kicks in

Can you give us a mediainfo text list of that dredd iso?

I also have problems with "minimal" 3d depth. Got the Samsung 46ES8000 this morning and tested some 3D ISO's. If i adjust the 3d settings to maximum on the tv then i see some depth but minimal. With standard settings and trying the 3d explore trailers the 3d effect is how it should be... Also i don't see 3D options in the mede8er menu when playing the file, is this normal? I'm on firmware 1.0.5

Most 3d films don't look like the show off trailers on the Samsung explore trailers , or what you see in the shops
Try journey to the Center of the earth or final destination 5 for that sort of effect

Most 3d is depth , kids films are good for pop out , what have you been watching ?

mediainfo is one site back. What do you mean with this?
Quote
set the red borders in video setup

@Maasbommel
Yes I made it for 2 times. 2 factory resets

Yes BD-Lite is off an I know this feature. If I set BD-Lite on "Off", then the Film shows me only a "Making Of". If I set BD-Lite "On", then the film started with original film menu. Then I klick on "film start" an the film runs in 2D. Then I go to the mede8er menu (on the remote left under the tax-cross) and select Playlis. After then I see a list. I select the mainvideo, TV goes in 3D, picture is blurred, I put my polglasses on, the picture is clear,...but... no 3D. All is okay like 3d must be. But no 3D.

Please try another 3d iso you should not need to select any 3d modes it should just play , going through the bd lite menu will only give you fake 3d from the 2d film , if you select 3d from the players menu

If it works right the 3d film will just start no need to select any 3d options ,

Can you post a mediainfo analaysis:-
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

I know you may prefer bdinfo, but we can put two mediainfo text lists side  by side  and compare.

I've watched avatar 3d bdremux 25 and Ice age 4 (3D ISO and makemkv version). Like i said it looks strange that the mede8er menu is not giving me 3d options. Also the tv doesn't recognize the 3d on it'own, i need to set it manual on the tv. When starting avatar "3D" pops up in the screen.

Can you please perform an EDID capture and post the results.

1) Create a folder with name "hdmi_test_dora129.3" on a USB stick (in the root), and plug it into Mede8er
2, Connect the Mede8er to AMP/TV, > (please use HDMI), and set the audio mode of Mede8er to (HDMI passthrough)
3, Enter the Home Page on the Mede8er and ENTER number '1025'
4, You will see messages displayed on the TV, and a file will be written to the folder "hdmi_test_dora129.3" on usb disk.

Another way todo it  (Tested with X3 FW 7 sept 2012):
1) Create a folder with name "hdmi_test_dora129.3" on a USB stick (in the root), and plug it into Mede8er
2, Connect the Mede8er to AMP/TV, > (please use HDMI), and set the audio mode of Mede8er to (HDMI passthrough)
3, Now play a movie on the Mede8er and ENTER number '0'
4, Now you will see that the usb stick starts flashing and writing the dump in the dora folder. Wait some minutes before unplugging the usb stick, don't pull it when it is still flashing

Sorry please, but no *.mkv, .*m2ts. I want only use BD-ISOs. If I use MKV, than I don't need a hardware mediaplayer. My TV also play mkvs without cost. And if I buy a mediaplayer that promise 3D-BD-ISO, than must it work. Also I need HD-Sound with 7.1, too. I look here on my real homecinema with 3D-Beamer and 7.1 speakers. I prever only high quality. Great, great pity, but it is like all mediaplayer...some 3D-ISO-Movies does not work. Really pity. I will send the box back.

Thanks so lot at all and have a nice weekend  ;)
