Series.jpg app

A little app that once all the folder images are downloaded it duplicates them into series.jpg. (for episode thumbs)

Please unzip and copy this to the root of your series folder, it will automatically scan all sub-directories.

I've been using this - it's the best thing I've seen for organizing TV.

When will the mede8er changes be incorporated into the main source code?

Also I've had 2 series which the renaming moved episodes around - is this a bug in the main code or you think it's something you introduced?

For example - "Once apon a time" - it moved Episode 5 to episode 1 and then shifted episodes 1,2,3,4 up one.

Hi pjh777

'Once upon a time' processed fine on my side.
What was your naming convention before using TVrename?

As for the official release: the changes are busy being implemented and will be released soon (Jan 2013), we are also adding fanart, folder.jpg and series.jpg as options...

Great news Zakkie. I love this app for series  ;). Good to know you are adding fanart as well. Currently I am using Sick Beard to populate the fanart since it is missing from Tvrename.

@eentje

I followed the help file info from Zakkie in the first post and had no issues, except:

The only issue I found is that Tvrename does not recognize shows or the files (rather) when it has the year in the name of the directory or file itself. Maybe there is a setting that can be activated to allow this to work?

Duppie.

Please ensure your TV shows are sorted as follows:

Series Name >
                     > Season 01
                                        >Show name  S01E01
                                        >Show name  S01E02
                                        >Show name  S01E03
                                        >etc..........
                     > Season 02
                                        >Show name  S02E01
                                        >Show name  S02E02
                                        >etc..........

and so on for every Series in your library.
See attached screen shot of my library as an example

@Zakkie,

Do you know if the developer is still on track with a new release for Jan 2013? I have tested a couple of other series scrapers and found this one to be the best, simple and fast.  ;) I supose I need to buy the developer a couple of Beers if I am going to stick with it  ;D

Hi Duppie,

Yes it is a great app, simple and fast.

We are busy with the changes and we still hope to have the proper beta in the next week or two.

@Zakkie

Thanks for the great news and your efforts. Once completed I am sure the Mede8er camp will benefit from it and I really hope this app gets the credits it deserves. I was at a point to move to XBMC due to the non proper Series scraping apps available for Mede8er and then I discovered your beta version of TvRename. Sorry, I am a series fan. I have tested many, even the recent onces,  and nothing comes close to its simplicity and speed and I cannot wait for the addition of Fanart, etc......  :)

Hi
Thank you so much for this great little app! Its fantastic...fast, and easy to use!

Im very happy that you will be adding fanart.jpg and series.jpg.

There is one little thing that bugs me! is it not possible to get the app to generate the folder for each season, for season one it would generate the cover folder for season 1 and so on? It generates the same cover folder for all the seasons. If it generates the correct folder for every season it makes it a lot more lively and fun.

Thank you again for a great app! :) And i do owe you a beer if your ever in Iceland!!!
