M8 Remote for iPhone / Ipad
« on: November 15, 2012, 04:27:15 pm »

The M8 Remote for Iphone / iPad is back on the App Store http://www.m8remote.com/
This is a real nice app as it uses screen swipe gestures for navigation. We are in contact with the developers of this app and we are talking to them about adding some additional functions and hope these will be released in some future update.

Very convenient! It took me a sec to figure out to Dbl Tap the OK button and swipe for the directional arrows but watch out now!
And again I'll use this opportunity to ask...
How do I refresh the Media Lib folder list?

Hello,

Does the TV needs to be on when using the M8 Remote app?

I'm searching for a solution were I can stream my music from my Synology by using an app on iPhone/iPad and don't have to put on my TV. (Synology -> Mede8er -> Marantz receiver)

Thanks!

If you have a version with DMR than you can try this:-

You  need to find an Apple DLNA DMC.

As Maasbommel wrote, use the Synology DS Audio app, it works perfectly with the Mede8er!

Yes, but maybe he needs a better sound quality, like these cheap USB cards can give, and I think, the most people use his NAS far away from his hifi amplifier. So, if he has a Mede8er and a Synology, plus an iPhone, the DS Audio is the perfect solution.

Hi  I have purchased the m8 ipad iOS app,

However after initially working on a mede8er 1000x3d it does not work on 800x3d.
I have tried killing the app and restarting, re-downloading the app, resetting router nothing seems to work regarding the resetting of jukebox being able to see movie info and albums etc.

I have spoken with numerous mede8er forum members and the most plausible idea is the cache for jukebox is not clearing?..

Is there a way where the user could implement clearing of cache on exit of program etc?...
Or any ideas why I now can't see the jukebox via favourites?

Cheers

That is not what remote emulators do. You interact with the GUI the same way as with the real remote.

What you need is a Smart Remote App, where you interact with the screen on the controller. Unfortunately the api for that only controls jukeboxes.

Thanks! I have downloaded M8 jukeboxe but indeed, it doesn't work with internet. Pity that we cannot get the full interface on iPad...
