Screen size setting still doesn't work

It seems that config restore or using custom skin will make screen size setting does not work.

You do  appreciate this is not an interactive process? You won't see any effect with the GUI, only with visual media. So you set it, and see no effect until  you play  a video.

I was under the impression that video was unaffected by the screen size setting, and that that setting was for the full screen display of the about.jpg files...

With the 1186 chip it  is different. This is why it causes problems  for some 3d TV users as their TV's only have overscan for 2d video. If they use screen size their 3D videos are shrunk by the screen size function, but their TV's don't overscan  them back to fill the screen.

I have sill problems with navigating:

Navigating through the covers is somewhat irritating and has a strange new arrangement of the movies in the last row of the result, if the total number of covers is not a multiple of 8.

An example with 20 films:
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08
09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16

Now pressing the right arrow when cover 16 is selected. The player switched into the 3rd and last row:
05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12
13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20

Correct would be the following view:
09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16
17 18 19 20

Okay, and now let's navigate back with left arrow. At cover number 5 the navigation stops. It will no longer display the covers 1 to 4.

Now I press the up arrow and I get the following correct view:
09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16
17 18 19 20

Just reinstall the last firmware again without any skin and config, screen size menu is working fine now.

Has it ever worked?  I can't see how you can change the volume of encoded audio going out via passthrough? You can only  alter the volume when it's converted to stereo PCM. So have you enabled the new option to force some audio to stereo?
