Metadata, thumbnails and moviesheets
« on: September 16, 2012, 02:19:44 PM »
I've been trying to get some of the things with the metadata and moviesheets working. I only have Linux running here, so I am unable to use the standard software mentioned in here. I do have SheetMaker for Linux running. I have been trying to get a complete picture of what files/data the X3D reads, but the information appears to be limited and fragmented.

So far I have found some example XML files and a method with folder.jpg/about.jpg. That last one takes care of the eyecandy just fine, but is not good for the browsing experience. Experiments with movies in a single folder didn't really give me anything useful either.

Is there a better a complete source of information somewhere that can help me get everything the way I want? I would to know the files that the X3D looks for and what their content should be.

And if there isn't, maybe someone that knows everything could post it in the "Tips & tricks" forum.
