NAS Drive compatibility
« on: August 20, 2012, 12:12:32 PM »
Hi, I'm very keen on getting a 1000X3D when they are eventually released in the UK and i'm currently in the process of getting my home all networked. I'm looking to get a NAS drive to store all the music, movies etc and was considering this one.

has anyone had any experience in using it?, it does have gigabyte networking and is SMB compatible so i don't think it should have any issues transferring 3D Blu-ray files over the network, should it?

Should work just fine.

I use Qnap, great too, although a bit more expensive.

In my experience the Netgear stuff is just not it. It is way to underpowered for media streaming. Go for Synology or QNap.

My vote is for Synology - great FW features and very good FW support.
