Hello, I have a consisten issue in latest 2.07. If I happen to leave mu 500X2 on for 20 minutes or longer without any interaction (screen saver is one but light on player is still blue). The unit seems to crash. I've also noticed this same behavior after watching a long movie and going back to the innterface. I usually just unplug the Mede8er and restart it.

Have you already:
- checked your internal disk with chkdsk /f
- reinstalled the firmware using recovery mode?
- could it be some heat problem, is the fan running and is your mede8er not placed in a closed cabinet?

Are you using Disk Spin down?

I cannot confirm this. My Mede8er is on permanently (as a NAS device). It can be on for days/weeks without any problem. Also running 2.0.7. And, for the record, my Disk Spindown feature is OFF.

Try performing regular ntfs maintenance using ntfsfix followed by chkdsk.

Same problem here.. but with me its when I push the back button from to go to upper level. Only happens if I leave the 500X2 alone for a while. Then I push the back button and bingo. It hangs.
Using it is no problem. No heat problem, no HD attached so no NAS problem.
