I can't seem to copy the movies off the internal hard drive of my MED300X to an external hard drive formatted to NTSF nor HFS+.  It does not allow me to copy more than 4.2GB.  I am aware about FAT32 limit to 4GB etc., but I am formatted to NTSF.  I even tried MAC OSX (journaled) but I get the same problem.

Writing on the internal HD is no problem but moving or copying from internet HD to an external HD via USB is a problem.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks.

Is this all with the same usb disk?
Have you also tried another usb disk?

When you formatted the disk NTFS, did you do a full format in stead of a quick format?
How did you format it NTFS? - with a pc?

Hi Maasbommel,  thanks for your reply.

To answer your questions :

1.  I did a full format twice, once in windows xp and another in mac os x.
2.  I've tried 2 external usb disks but same problem. One disk formatted in NTSF and another in Mac OS X (Journaled).
3.  I formatted using a PC and a Macbook Pro.

I noticed that the Mede8er is not allowing me to copy more than 4.2GB of files.  I tried copying movies from external hd to external hd both connected to my Macbook and there was no problem.

Files from the Mede8er being moved or copied is the problem.

Perhaps a full reformat of the internal hard drive of the Mede8er can solve this?

Thanks for your help.
