I like the fact tat fanart and folder.jpg's are now filtered from the view. Removes a lot of the clutter!
One question: folder and series.jpg now need to be 160 x 237. What happened to the 156 x 232? Is that one totally redundant now (or was it for the older model?)?

We suggest 160 x 237 as we increased the image size in Preview View to 160 x 237. You can by all means use 156 x 232 and see if you happy with the results in Preview View.

Having the same issue. I have a big problem with the new FW 2.0.7. It has to do with an abnormal time for viewing picture foder content. It takes suuuuper long for pictures in folders to show up.

Good that you also reported this issue, hopefully support can fix this. Please see thread: http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,8393.30.html and post your complaint there aswell so we have it together.

Hi, Also today I installed the version 2.0.7 (still had the 2.0.7 beta). I noticed an improvement in the response of the interface / GUI. And the selection cursor folder / file is also faster and a little different graphically. I was not satisfied with the performance of only 6.5 MB / s copies files over the network cable (RJ45). (with the Beta was the same). In other versions of the firmware could go beyond d 10 MB / s. What was good enough! I would ask you that in the next version of firmware solve this problem.
Thanks! Hugs!

I have a similar problem in terms of network transfers. Did not use the 2.0.7 beta, went to full release and noticed the significant network slowdown.

Yesterday something happened something boring:
The use of the network; moved about MKV files from one folder to another, within the inner disk of the X2, the files simply disappeared. I use TeraCopy to optimize the data transfer, and some of the files are no longer in the source folder, and not passed on to the destination folder. The TeraCopy gave error (I do not remember specifically what was, I took no note - I'll try and see if giving back). The fact is that the files have disappeared when moving files within the disk. Not sure if this is a problem specific firmware version (I have v2.0.7 final) because I had not yet happened.
PS. I must add that: Formatting the internal drive I have was made by own X2 . I did not formatting the PC and then put in X2.

@Whopper: moving within the same volume does not imply any data transfer; it's just a matter of "renaming" the file to a different directory. For this kind of things you could rely on the internal mede8er file manager or simply use the tools that your operating system gives you.
You better search for the lost files: they are somewhere, probably with a different name or in a different folder. I seriously doubt that they really disappeared into lost space....

- not an issue but what happened with the 'slight hardware differences' resulting in seperate EU / INT downloads for the ---X2 boxes firmware?
- minor issue scenario - - playing (FLAC|MP3|APE|M4A) audio from a NFS share, rather long playlist (120+ items), all's well - - screensaver kicks in - - I decide I don't like <random song /> and use the remote to skip to the next ==> results ==> 1. screensaver disappears (so far so good) 2a. depending on <random thoughts here /> it will take up to a full minute or longer before the screen is updated 2a. depending on <anybody's guess /> the audio player will skip to the next song but the screen isn't updated anymore and all subsequent commands from the remote appear to be ignored
.: gear: 400x2, wired LAN, NFS shares :.

I noticed that some of my episode images were not being masked. But then I figured out that there were apostrophies in those file names. Once I removed the unwanted punctuation, all was well. Very happy with this version so far!!! Thanks

Occasionaly when scrolling upwards through the list (meaning it will jump to the last one and then scroll back) with movies, that is when the "cursor" is on the first movie in the list, the device crashes and reboots. It doesn't happen all the time, just once in a while.

Can't do scan of favourites. Every time I try to scan the folder, Mede8er says "have to re-boot" and "no ID3 tag". After rebooting nothing happens.
PS: Downgrading to 2.0.3 fixes problem.
