Hi, i noticed that the external usb hdd do not shut down after the med500x2 is put out..
With the previous med500x, it does.
Is this hardware related or can this be fixt in an firmware update? (if so, please, relocate this post to feature request.)

We need more details on the usb drive. Does it have a Led which  dosn't go off? My USB drive makes a clear click when the X2 powers down.

i got the toshiba px1396e 1TB
It has an led bleu when idle, red when reading/writing. with the med 500x the led is still on, but drive is shut down.
With the med 500x2 led on and and drive still moving.
Tested with other cable, hang it on the computer and after shutdown, drive goes also down.
Also tested on other usb slot..
