Updated 500x2 unit to new update. I did not have issues with previous firmware but new should be better (usually).
Problems since update:
Unit reboots randomly.
Can't select more than one items to copy from ie: USB flash drive to Mede8Ter - it reboots itself

Sometimes randomly returns one step back

Hardware: 500x2 + Seagate SATA 1TB HDD (formatted in Mede8ter)

 Huh
Anny ideas or is there a update to the Open Beta

Thanks

Did you run 2.0.6 or 2.0.5 on the unit before the upgrade to 2.0.7?
Did you try a chkds on your internal drive to verify if your filesystem is ok?

Not sure of update but downloaded in January 2012 (think it was 2.0.6)
Did not do a chkds on HDD. Would I need to connect to PC or does it have its own chkds on Mede8ter?
Did work fine on previous firmware though...

Thanks

You need to connect to a PC by usb cable to do this.

Read the 2.0.7 beta post release notes - you might be in the category that has issues with files to folders.

Hi

Did the chkdsk /f (through Windows and command-line - No change
Formatted USB flash drive and attempted again - No change
Tried to copy files from portable HDD - No Change

Still does the same - When copying a file from external devise, the unit re-boots itself just before file is finished.
When copying multiple files from external devise, the unit reboots itself midway in the second file.

Is there something else to try ?

Thanks

Try copying folders..not files..one folder at a time.

Some of the files are in folders.
This happened straight after 2.0.7 update

Read this:-

If anything..we are finding 2.0.7 more active at "correcting" isues in the corrupt journal than 2.0.6 was, which created them.

You should also do the same to the USB drive whilst attached to the PC.
