problem with multiple movie/srt pairs in the same folder

I have the idea it is relating to the method of naming.

Can you try the following:
SeriesName S01 E01.avi
SeriesName S01 E01.srt

So remove the dots, only a dot between name and file extension.

I just tried this again after removing the dots, but the result is the same.

What I also noticed is once you select a subtitle, it sticks with the correct episode.
So the problem is limited to how the mede8er selects the default subtitle when the episode has never played before.
It just selects the first in its (unsorted) list, instead of selecting the one with the same filename.

Do you mean it has come back, or was really never fixed?

I did some more testing.
It does not seem like it remembers the last choice.

Also, the series where I had the problem before seems to work always now.

So, for now I can only state that sometimes the correct subtitle gets selected and sometimes it doesn't.

I will do some more testing the coming days.

I can confirm that after installation of firmware 2.0.7, the problem is not solved.
