.bat files are windows script files. and since most nasses run on linux it wont work. i have no clue how to make a linux script. i usually run the bat file before i copy all to nas. maybe someone here on the forums know how to make the .bat script work on linux.

easier to delete files on nas an make folders on pc and transfer again its faster then doing it manually Cheesy of i must find someone that can transform the script so it works on linux.

since i have no experience in linux terminal coding it would be a total new study for me Smiley

u got me confused here. in thumbgen u need the same settings as the manual. i dont not about other programs. u better stick to one to keep it easier for yourself aswell Smiley

sorry, should have explained more. in part 3 it tells you to type the file path of " thumbnailer". my settings were blank so I went for the download option - when I searched the filepath to where it was downloaded I had to rename the file to nmt.exe to be seen. got it up and running, but now everytime I down load a cover its telling me "mtn.exe not found in current directory! please place the file in the same directory as mtn.exe"

i dont use movie thumbnailer myself i always use some images from the backdrop pool Smiley

mtn is used to make random snapshots of movie files so u can use that image as fanart or background and have nothing to do with covers of the movie.

i guess u did something wrong. i downloaded mtn and made sure the file path in thumbgen was correct and used it. and worked.

Oh, so they dont automatically come up on the mede8er? It would be nice to have the split screen permanently with the movie you are selecting on top and all the other movies in the folder on the bottom like a carousel. I did have trouble with one movie in particular, "Push". Thumbgen keeps giving me results for "Precious", is there a way around this?

try renaming the file with the year it was release in Smiley
and if u press the info button on first movie u get the sheet for that and u can navigate to other sheets with the up and down buttons Smiley

Unfortunatley "push" was the same year (2009) as "precious" which has a working title "push" Eeenjte, do you ever use automatic mode to do multiple files or is the effect not the same?
