Inputing wi-fi password - with text file?

My wireless networks password is one hugely long and complicated string - is it possible to import the password as a .txt file?
I can't seem to input the password correctly with the remote and its driving me nuts trying to re-input the password everytime.

Is the only way to input the password with the remote or a keyboard one painful letter by letter?

Thanks Maasbommel , any chance they could add that feature to the firmware revisions?
It would take all the pain out of that process. You could paste the password string into a plain .txt file and then put it on a usb drive and then just import the .txt file in the options menu - no messing around with upper/lower case/did I put the 27th letter in correctly etc and for trouble shooting you would know that the password is at least correct.

Just a quick question - if you purchased a Mede8er MED500X2 in South Africa does it need the European firmware or International firmware?

One more question - when I use the shift or caps-lock on the MEDX2KEY is it actually inputting an uppercase letter becuase the matrix of letters on the screen does not change to uppercase unless you press the zoom button on the mede8er remote

I don't think such a feature request will get a lot of priority to be honest, as you normally only do this af few times and not often.

SA is not in Europe, so I would first go for the international version.

You could also consider to first go for 2.0.3, as there are some users having stability issues with the versions up.
Currently mede8er is testing a new release to get this solved, and I expect this version will be come fast.

But the current method is madness if you have a decently long and secure password?

If jer1956  hadn't given me that tip I would have gone crazy , I've been stuck inputting the password for the last 3 weeks.
I have a very complicated and long password - and so far because I cant check what I've inputted I dont know if the connection failure is a password or infrastructure problem.
I'd say importing a text file is a reasonable thing to do , maybe it'll be easy to implement into the software - please ask the programmers if you can.
