I need help in creating sets.  I have read through the sets wiki but I must be doing something wrong because it is not working.  First let me give my directory structure:

Network Share
-> Movie Collection [Folder]
--> Alien Collection [Folder]
---> Alien (1979) [Folder]
----> Alien (1979).avi [File]
----> Alien (1979).nfo [File]
---> Alien Resurrection (1997) [Folder]
----> Alien Resurrection (1997).avi [File]
----> Alien Resurrection (1997).nfo [File]
---> Aliens (1986) [Folder]
----> Aliens (1986).avi [File]
----> Aliens (1986).nfo [File]

I have put the following in the NFO files:
<movie>
  <title>Specific Alien Movie Title</title>
  <id moviedb="imdb">tt... number of specific Alien movie</id>
  <sets>
    <set>Alien Collection</set>
  </sets>
</movie>

I then run Y2M (YAMJ) and it correctly picks up all the movie details and pictures.

The benefit I am looking for from doing sets is that it is meant to be ordered correctly but my mede8er keeps showing it alphabetically instead of by year / chronologically.  Any ideas on how to fix this.  I have tried specific ordering as well as follows:

<set order="1">Alien Collection</set>

I then specify the number for each movie but still no joy.

I would really appreciate help with this.

Try changing the folder names to...

Alien 1 ~ Alien (1979)
Alien 2 ~ Aliens (1986)
Alien 3 ~ Alien 3 (1992)
Alien 4 ~ Alien Resurrection (1997)
Alien 5 ~ Prometheus (2012)

Even with alpha sort, that should show the correct order.

Also note that using the <sets> tag will not have any effect on the Y2M generated about.jpg or folder.jpg.  The <sets> tag will only change the appearance and order of the movies in the YAMJ index.htm file.  Since the Mede8er does not use the HTML pages, and sorts the movies by folder name, using the <sets> tag will not make any difference on a Mede8er system.  However, if you rename the folders as I described above, you should get the display order you want, without the <sets> tag.
