NAS on = Wifi off ?
« on: April 09, 2012, 06:53:29 pm »
With the new purchased 500X2 and antenna screwed in the back, I managed Wifi connection to network. After turning on NAS, no Wifi connection anymore. Restarting results in "No AP found" at Wifi setup. Any ideas ?

Did you turn on the NAS the first time you set up?  It could be a coincedence, that after the first reboot you lost pci-e, which is not unknown.

Thanks for reply, however, tried several times, all without succes. Attached dongel from 'old' 400x and found network immediately. Two questions: Is antenna not compatible with 2.4 Db ? Why is Wifi not on after restart ?

Please check Setup, Network Info and see if there is a MAC number for wi-fi. Do this without the USB wi-fi attached.

No MAC address was available, however, problem is solved. Apparently Firmware was ancient...
Newby error.
