I would just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Mede8er team in South Africa.

Since upgrading to the 2.0.6 firmware, I was experiencing random reboots of my 500x2 player for no apparent reason.  I spent most of last Saturday and Sunday trying various different configurations and tests suggested by the forum community trying to isolate the cause of the problem, but to no avail.  The player just did not want to play nice!

Monday morning I get a direct call from Mede8er1 himself.  He asked me what I was experiencing and what I had tried to resolve the issue.  After a brief chat, he offered to come and fetch my player from me and take it to their premises as then they could do some through testing and hopefully come to the bottom of the misbehaving player.  So Tuesday morning, the player was picked up and taken through to the Mede8er offices.  All during the time that my player was being testing, I was kept informed of the progress of the testing and what they were experiencing.  Mede8er1 even got up a 4AM Wednesday morning to continue his testing, unfortunately my hard drive crashed his PC whilst he was backing up my media...sorry!!!  Ultimately though it would seem that my hard drive has some very strange and weird fault that seems to cause issues to whatever device it is plugged in to.  My player was then brought back to me today.

I can say that I have never experienced such outstanding customer service and support from any other company...EVER!!! 

Thank you Mede8er, jer1956 for all your suggestions and advice on the forums, and especially Mede8er1 for your efforts in trying to hunt down the problem.  It is greatly appreciated.

I also had this exact same level of service from Mede8er SA, and as in your case from Mede8er1 specifically. Here in South Africa you will search very far for this level of service.
