So...
After huge problems with Yamj2mede8er i changed to thumbgen and did all the about.jpg again.
But now when I filled the harddrive up with more movies and I scan the favoritefolder (it does not reboot) it says up in the left corner "No match info" and then I get all my genrefolders instead of all the movie covers collected from all of those genrefolders.
I can go into the genrefolders and there I see the movies and also the metadata below them and when i click the info-button on the remote I get the about.jpg displayed. But if I click the enterbutton on the cover I dont get the about.jpg displayed.
I would like to get, if possible like it was before with all the movies from all folders in one single videowall..

Well...
I played around and I tried the "set skin" option on a folder and then the mede8er rebooted and the videowall was back to normal with the new movies in it also.
Nice!

Mmm, on second thought I dont think the "set skin" soloution actually worked.
Still got this problem that whenever I choose to scan videofolder in favorites i get the message "no match info" afterwards and no videowall.
But if I scan, turn off the power on the mede8er and leave it like that for about 15 hours and then power it on I usually get the videowall back again with the updated/new content.
Very strange and very annoying.
Help?!

Mmm, what? X1?
I have the mede8er 400x2 connected to a router through wire and a 2 tb hdd connected to the router.
I have the latest fw (2,0,7?) But I have hade this problem with all the firmwares.
Though today when I tried the videowall it showed "no match info" and i come to the genrefolders instead of all the movies collected into one place. Usually it comes back to the videowall after a couple of hours in off-mode, but not this time it seems.
Strange...

Are you playing from an usb disk or from a network pc share or NAS share?

I have the HDD connected to my wireless router and then TP(?)-cable from router to the mede8er.
Its so strange that it starts to work correctly after 12 or so hours with the new movies in the videowall.

Do you have a DNS proxy server? If you are using your ISP's own DNS server it might be slow to get updated with your lan data, and lose it very quickly.

Jer1956: Hmm, I actually dont know. I just have this modem that connects to my wireless-router and the HDD with usb to the wifi-router and then lan(?)cable from wireless-router to mede8er.

That is a the classic .."No local DNS Proxy Server" combination! Most people have integrated modem/routers..which tend to have dns proxies by default.
Can you check the Routers setup and look for something called DNSMasq.

You say that you connect an usb disk to your router - so to use your router as some low cost NAS solution.
My experience is that tn most cases this is not working really well, streaming issues, instability issues.
What router are you using todo this (brand and type)? Are you using Upnp streaming or filesharing (samba) streaming to connect to it?

Jer1956: Naah I dont think so. Not really good with stuff like this. Maasbommel: Yes exactly like that. Like some sort of NAS, and it does work really well and Ive only experienced stuttering twice ( and only for a minute or so) of 200h of 1080p material. The router is: ASUS RT-N56U Dont know if I use upnp or samba but I dont think so .
