I updated my firmware to version 1.6 today and the RCA audio stopped working. I have a Med250X, and I use the HDMI for video (and now for audio too), and used the RCA for external audio successfully on version 1.5.
I have reset to default settings but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Do you have the audio output set to max on your mede8er?
It might be set to low output.

Did you already downgrade to 1.5 to verify you get the sound back on RCA again?
Or another suggestion:
Install 1.6 again to verify you don't have a bad flash install.

Okay, thanks, I will try 1.6 again, and if that fails I will try a downgrade to 1.5.

Okay.
Reloaded 1.6 and still no audio.
Loaded 1.5 and the audio is back.
Another thing I noticed, is that the internal HDD is listed under USB, together with the other USB devices, on firmware 1.6, but on 1.5 it is listed separately as a hard disk.
File copying from host USB port (portable HDD or flash disk) to internal HDD works on 1.6, but not on 1.5.

I just tried the Thai version of firmware version 1.6, and it also doesn't work  Back to 1.5 again. |

Tested my MED250X sample and it seems fine with V1.6. Will test some stock units tomorrow and report back

Can you post full details of your firmware info screen in setup, including the bootrom version on your unit?

I have also just upgraded to v1.6 and I got the same problem. Did you find a solution to the issue or its best to just stick to version 1.5?

After downgrading to Ver 1.4 (I couldn't UnRAR ver 1.5) and my sound came back straight away.
