No, it don't work from media library either. I have tested several files from other albums but no one works.
I used iTunes to rip my CDs to apple lossless.

Apple lossless? Very few lossless formats are supported. Flac is.

The DLNA renderer is still not working good enough.
Here is the setup:
- Iomega iConnect for the music collection
- Samsung Galaxy S with android containing the music player
- Mede8er 500X2 as the DLNA renderer

It sometimes hicks and sometimes stops completely.
When i use my Samsung TV as the DLNA rendere (Samsung uses it's AllShare DLNA protocol) it works completely good... never seen a hickup.
What protocol does the Mede8er use and can it be improved in the next release?

You need to look at the properties of the DMR as it appears in Windows. It's an off the shelf intel implmentation X1..or something like that.  I don't think there is any code.

my 400x2 doesn't  hold the upnp server to status on after power off.
my 450x2 does hold the status.

in firmware version 2.05 it's still not fixed, but at the moment there is for version 2.05 no feedback possible

You use Tagscanner with mixed media..have you read about that in the manual?

Also could you describe how you have create a single jukebox to multiple itunes libraries via your fileserver as a Tip?

Right, it took a little while, as I am having some back issues.

It was actually pretty easy to setup the music jukebox using mixed media (mp3 + wma). All files were already properly tagged and all folders have a folder.jpg of 230x230 pixels.

I use rsync to copy the two itunes libraries to my fileserver:
  /filesystem/smbmountpoint/Audio/itunes_1
  /filesystem/smbmountpoint/Audio/itunes_2
  /filesystem/smbmountpoint/Audio/someotherfolder_1
  /filesystem/smbmountpoint/Audio/someotherfolder_2

I use Tagscanner only to create the Tracklist.xml from /filesystem/smbmountpoint/Audio, at this point i had to select "relative paths and the Mede8er script"
On the Mede8er I selected 'scan folder' from favorites for the Audio folder
After a while the mede8er rebooted and the Music jukebox was online (make sure you enable the jukebox option if not already configured)

I really love the functionality, my music now becomes more accessible. I can *find* music instead of browsing through multiple folders.


For the wishlist:
- filter out duplicates (having multiple audio libraries means that one album can be found twice (or more))
- periodic automatic update of the Music.db, this will probably be homebrew but given the simple database layout it shouldn't be too difficult to create

Hi,

I just went from FW 2.0.3 to 2.0.5 and the ability to listen to music and brows the music library has now gone away.
I dont NOT use Jukebox, I´m using the "normal" music function -> Samba share - > Workgroup -> folders.

With the new  FW 2.0.5 - > When I´m listening to music, and then press "back button" to get back to the parent directory to find a new album/folder/artis, the current music stops.

With FW 2.0.3 this is not the case. Then the music continous, and I can brows to another folder/artist/album. To get back to the "song now playing" (if I need) I then press the "Audio button".

This is a great functionallity for me! I really want this to fixed like it was in 2.0.3.
So now I feel forces to get back to the old firmware until fixed. Please look in to this!
