About the DLNA DMR (Renderer), i noticed that (had my TV on by coincidence) while playing a song from my NAS through my iPhone to the Mede8er that the Mede8er rebooted. So it really is not stable. I reverted back to my Airport Express for playing audio. Anyone else using the Mede8er to play audio from their phone (either Android or iOS) ? Please Realtek, fix this...

The x2 automatically restarts when I try to add a folder to your favorites. The more someone does this happen?

Check if you have a folder called Favlink_HDD. It shouldn't be there and is stopping the creation on the XML file by the same name. If it is there, delete it.

What kind of favorites? On internal disk, on usb disk or on a network drive?

I have a folder at the root of the internal HDD x2. This folder is named "core" and supposedly was created 01/01/2014. What is this folder? Can I delete?
I also have another folder in the root of the internal HDD with the name. "Theater" also created 01/01/2014. What is this folder? Can I delete?
What strange things ....

Core files are unix dump files. Created during your mede8er rebooting (crashing). You can delete those.
The .Theatre folder is created by the default scan option in setup. This is containing the scan db file that is used by the Movie Search Menu, Music Search Menu and Photo Search Menu. Just leave it like it is.
