Since Jer advised me to post here ...
I have my MED500X2 for about a month and i noticed the player freezes quiet often (about 15 times so far) and i needed to do hard reset (plug out-in power suplly). Mostly this happend at playing mp3 music from installed hard disc ( interesting is that music keeps playing, while the med8er does not respond to remote or pressing ON-OFF button ) , watching You Tube. Not to mention internet surfing. I never succeed to log into Facebook . Also i noticed the player reacts much slower then the old one at moving through menues.
While on the other side at playing movies ( even 3D ) didn't found any problems . Nor at internet radio playing.
Very disapointed regarding my old 500.
Any advices what to do?
My setup : Med500X2 with keyboard - 2.0.3 firmware TV Panasonic – VT50 – connected via hdmi to player Receiver Pioneer VSX – audio conected to TV via optical input since reciver does not have hdmi input. Wired and stabile network through Linksys 54GL

I moved drive from 500x and formated as i was advised here on the forum. It is 1TB WD...right now i don't know which model is. I transfer all the movies from my PC to this disk and all are playing without any problem, so i don't know why would this have effect on playing mp3-s.

I suggest to check if your mp3 files have large embedded covet art. There is a program mentioned in my beginners guide to easy check/reduce embedded mp3 cover art. This might solve your hung issue.

I just changed the DNS from 192.168.1.1 ( Router IP) to 127.0.0.1 but it frozen at about 77% of loading fb. Player is dead to any control now. I can still browse and play contents on players disc through my PC.

Did you give you new box a new network name? Did you shutdown the network to allow it to refind the new med?

Jer1956 -> I did everything as you suggested , but the results are still same. All other sites loaded normally ( Google...) except Facebook always stuck.
Maasbommel -> Can't find ... "I suggest to check if your mp3 files have large embedded covet art. There is a program mentioned in my beginners guide to easy check/reduce embedded mp3 cover art. This might solve your hung issue."
Thank you for all your help so far.

I was waiting for new firmware. Same old [CENSORED]... Just freezed at watching pics i have on players disc. No way to get my facebook page loaded without freezing. Must be defected player or some uncompatibility with hard disc.

There is a new issue which all the internet is a having to deal with. Certain internet services have decided they know best..and are circumventing the privacy settings in browsers to force the storage of cookies. Cookie storage is disabled on the X2..and if circumvented...the X2 will crash or hang.

As i noticed i am not the only one with same problems. Happend again without hard disc again now ( Facebook freez). Also noticed some other problems. I was watching pics from my computer and when i set up the slide shows player reseted by itself. Also found some funny bug on my player. When i want to jump to some part of mkv movie i can type just 1-9 number of 99 digit area ( minutes, seconds) Is guess is still long way for me to be satisfied with this player more then i was the older one.
