Hello Tech Support,
Good day! Yesterday, I downloaded and installed (thru USB flash disk) firmware upgrade v1.5. This is my first upgrade as I just bought this last month.
I already tried reformatting the flash disk to FAT32 and using another flash disk however the same Med8er logo appears and no functions can be used.
Please help.

Did you place the install.img on the stick - nothing else, then from standby (red led) keep the on button pressed until the update starts (can be around 20-30 secs - then release and wait).
If still not starting - wait a minute and watch the led on the usb disk starting to flash.

Hello, I have done this and the setup completed up to 100%. However, upon reboot, only the logo appears and nothing else.

Did you try to toggle video mode with the TV Sys button?
Your med might be in a video mode after the upgrade that your tv is not supporting.
With your mede8er on (wait some minute after boot):
Press TV sys button - wait 10 secs, repeat this until you get image on your tv.

Upon pressing TV System button, I only see the Mede8er Logo Image on the TV, the image appears for some time and then disappears for awhile and comes back again.

|
If you're using HDMI port, disconnect it - use analog RCA cable (Video Out - yellow RCA cable).
Then you should do re-flash again using this connection.
You can switch back to HDMI once upgrading completed (check it with RCA, before switching back to HDMI)

Hello again, I did the re-flash using RCA cable. However, the same issue happens. But right now, with the RCA cable, the image is somewhat blurred and unstable.

If it is rebooting and only coming to the 8 logo again and again I can only think of:
- issue with usb stick, but as you said you tried diff types that must be ruled out.
- wrong fw loaded or fw download is corrupted. Redownload the fw again to be sure
- a defect - contact your reseller to get it fixed

Thanks Maasbommel and the-osiris. I have successfully installed v1. 5 after performing the following steps:
1) Used another old flash disk and re-formatted it to FAT32 using HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool
2) Re-downloaded the firmware v1.5 RAR file.
