Does mede8er or anyone have a link to an xml template that I could use or look at?

I do not have a lot of movies and what I will do is generate my own xml for each movie. I need to keep it simple. All I need to put is the title, year, cast, synopsis, rating and time. Nothing else. I use Yadis to generate the background and folder images. Mede8er has to have in place a format or convention on the xml file so they could read the info and present it.

Just point me to a link or a guideline; it would be appreciated.

Thank you.

But I know about YAMJ and Thumbgen and all that automated scrapers. I want to edit and generate a raw xml file. Of course, I could just pull an xml from the scrapers and edit it to my own liking. But I was wondering if Mede8er has a basic guideline for the xml file.

I think this will work...

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes">
<movieinfo>
<Title></Title>
<Description></Description>
<Plot></Plot>
<Year></Year>
<Runtime></Runtime>
<Genres>
<string></string>
<string></string>
<string></string>
</Genres>
<Actors>
<string></string>
<string></string>
<string></string>
</Actors>
<Rating></Rating>
</movieinfo>

Thank you Skylinc!

That is exactly what I was referring to. I'll play around with it for awhile. I know you just gave me a brilliant start.

Question for you: should the xml contain pointers to the images (background and cover) too or no? As I understand it, the about and folder jpegs will be rendered regardless of whether the xml links to it or not.

Sorry for the late reply... I was out of town for the week.

Thank you Skylinc!

You are welcome Cheesy

No, you don't need any pointers to the 2 jpg files. They only need to be in the folder, and named correctly.
