it was my first contact with mede8er450X2 and i install the firmware Upgrade 2.03 immediately so i can´t compare to older Firmware´s Grin.

There ar two problems: the audio delay with the optical output and the web-browser.

I pluged the optical output in my AV-Receiver and then i have a delay to the picture an TV. The audio comes earlier then the picture. The TV - sound is correct, but not the sound from the receiver. The same problem i have with my BD - Player, but there i can adjust it (80 ms e.g.). I read , that is a problem of the Realtek - Chipset, but i hope there is a possibility to fix it  Wink

Some words to the web-browser: I think that unnecessary tool, because it can´t show most of the websites, it has no flash and the Hardware is too slow for comfortable surfing. Delete the browser and integrate a C64 - emulator  Grin Grin Grin

I have the same audio delay issue with all devices connected to my A/V. I am guessing it's A/V thing. I just setup delay to sync it.

+1 for c64 idea!! Smiley

MED500X2, v2.0.3, internal Seagate 2TB ST32000542AS.

  • During random boot ups, we have partial populated directories. Reboot again and whoila all the files are back or all gone, reboot again then they back.
  • Have files that when being copied from laptop(Linux/Win over wire/wireless) to mede8er that become folders/strange files. These files & dirs cannot be deleted from the filesystem, only way to remove is to format hdd
  • When playing a file and you pause it for a while until screensaver kicks in, when trying to resume the movie/series/music you get 'IO playback error' and the media crashes, you then have to restart and hope you playback history get you where you left off.
  • When copying a large amount of files to the device it starts going slower and slower until the copy stops with device unavailable (No media is playing on the device at the time). After reboot of device the file can not be moved/deleted or even renamed

I still cant use the NAS function of the Mede8er .. it's ridiculous to advertise with a feature that doesn't work.
So for me it's impossible to actually use the 1TB hard disk that i built in since I can't bring the Mede8er to a pc to connect by USB.
It's also crazy ppl are required to change their home network name to WORKGROUP..please fix that and make that variable. I've never experienced a hardcoded name like this with other devices and it should be totally unnecessary.
I also often experience no sound issues when trying to play a mkv with DTS..after selecting the DTS downmix option in the audio menu (but without changing it..its setting was already as it should be) and exiting again I get sound again.
