Thanks for this thread.

I have mainly blueray rips, but there is half a dozen dvds which are hard to get a hold of and i want to rip them for my mede8ter..

What would be the best to use, i used to use shrink alot, but that was to rip and burn, i have no experince with rip to file.

Also i tryed a movie of mine, and it was copyright proteced and shrink could not do it, any ideas on a one that gets past this.

You should invest in AnyDVDHD. It removes the proection at a low level...thus allowing other software to use it as if it dosn't have protection. DVDshrink should then work. It will also work with bluray..

Ok cheers will look into it.
Do you run this program first then move on to the likes of shrink, dvd decryptor ect, to get a ripped file which can be added to med player.

No..it installl and runs on boot up. It then removes any  encryption in the background. So tools like DVD shrink see un encrypted disks.
