I am with the last version in the X2 and also notice some inaccuracy in the command / remote control .... I had already complained about this! The command is not accurate.

There are situations when you press certain button, the LED flashes and the command in X2 LED flashes, but in fact nothing happens. It's a bit boring.
I really like the X2 and how they can customize (fanart / jukebox / skins...etc ...), also like the performance it comes to decoding, and of course the online support here in the forum, which is really good.
The Remote control leaves a lot to be desired in accuracy.
Since I have the X2 (2 months), and passed through several firmware, and the problem continues.
And one thing they could assess whether you can improve.

Have you a PC usb keybaord you can try?  The issue could be the command is being processed but the event it triggers is taking time to process. So  try a different way of control and see waht happens.

Hi jer1956, thanks for your reply.

I don't have an USB keyboard to try....
I'm wondering why a simply remote control doesn't work correctly.
no HDD connected, no other devices or networks, only the 400X2 and its remote control.....

never seen problem like this using a lots of other devices and remote controls (also the cheapest ones).
since I'm not the only one having this problem I suppose that it is not defective, or you think I've to replace the 400x2 in warranty ?

If dosn't work for you..and some others. I can't replicate your problem.. But the issue is more likely the event tiggered by the remote being delayed..or failing to respond..with the remote having done it's job as it should.  I have found running NTFSfix has made the GUI much faster where  disk access is concerned. So scrolling down a page of video is very smooth now, for me. Equally forcing 4K alignement with my WD drivs also seems to have improved responsiveness.  So  those without said drive are going have network respose issues to solve.

Hi jer1956,

I'm sorry but I don't understand very well your reply about NTFSfix (my english is not very good).

I disconnect my WD and network, turn off network settings..... but the problem is still present, I'm trying only with 400X2 and its remote.....but it is still jumping (in setup menus for example).

This is all useful information. Can you  borrow a USB keybaord and do the same?  We still can't see if the problem you have is to due to remote control procesing, or generel command processing from any input.
