Since update to latest firmware i've had this already 4 times. I have 3 favorites that points to 3 different NAS.
Each time you see the thingy spinning and the reboot of the med500x2. I then have to restart my NAS and then it works.
This never happened before the update, there is nothoing changed on the NAS drives.
When he reboots I've tried several times with other machine (PC, Ipad, Iphone) and the NAS drives (all 3 of them) are available and working. So restarting them does something for the med500x2 but what? Anyone have had same issue?

Have you created network shotcuts for each NAS? The latest firmware wil; work with blank user/password...and adds guest/guest for you.

I have been told that favourites now create links with slightly different information. So  you need to re-create your favourite links to Nas media/folders using the new firmware.

I've recreated my favorites from scratch. It does the reboot with any of the 3 NAS favo's. I can't pinpoint the exact trouble why he does that sometimes.

Even with the newest firmware. Still same problem. For some reason when I try to go to one of my favorites (3 that points to 3 different NAS) it doesn't find the network and reboots. The odd thing iis if I reboot my PC (yes you read well - not my nas drives) then it works again? Anyone any idea? The favorites points to the direct IP of the NAS. So my pc shouldn't be an issue. Huh

Device on networks cache dns information. Routers will interogate those caches. One reson for failded conections and long detections times is a mismatch between cached information which confuses the router. So rebooting the pc clearscit's cache.
