I have a Marantz SR6300 AV receiver. Till now its working with all kind of devices (CD players, DVD players, Set Top boxes), you name it. Recently I replaced my HDX1000 with a MED500X2. I can't play 5.1 sound anymore. I need to set the 500x2 to 2 CH downmix on the SPDIF output. I have never seen that wit this reciever. Is this a know problem? I thought SPDIF was a standard, but it seems that it isn't.

1) What firmware Version are you using in the MED500X2?
2) How is the MED500X2 connected to your TV ? Composite/Component or HDMI
