From what I have understood about YAMJ, DuneX and all those other Movie Jukebox programs, all they do is create an about and poster JPG in the movie's folder for the jukebox to display it afterwards.

So in no way do those softwares alter the movie file in itself, or the way the file is handled and played by the Mede8er. Am I right on that?

Yes, that is correct. YAMJ scans the video files and extracts the necessary information using MediaInfo. It creates various files which Y2M then uses to create the jpg files that are used in the Mede8er. So actually YAMJ does much more than just create images but unfortunately the Med devices do not support the whole concept.

so we're clear that YAMJ on Mede8er is only used to scrape for art, posters and film description, all of those being displayed in the VideoWall (which is mede8er's jukebox)?
