Skylink, Thanks for adding TvRenamer to your app, tested and working perfectly!

Converts all the .nfo files to .xlm files in a flash.

As I scroll through my Eps on the X3D it now shows all the required info at the bottom  :)

Well done!!!

Skylinc, your app looks promising, so planning to try for TV shows. Y2M is good for me for movies.

Couple of questions:
- Which is the recommended version to use (Java or Net)?
- Do I just point the app to my TV shows share and let it run?

My TV shows are organized as follows:

Breaking Bad (folder)
--Breaking Bad.jpg (show poster)
--Breaking Bad.nfo (show NFO)
--fanart.jpg (show fanart)
--folder.jpg (show poster)
--tvshow.nfo (show NFO)
--Season 1 (folder)
----Breaking Bad s01e01.jpg (season 1 poster)
----Breaking Bad s01e01.fanart.jpg (season 1 fanart)
----Breaking Bad s01e01.banner.jpg (season 1 banner)
----Breaking Bad s01e01.mkv
----Breaking Bad s01e01.nfo (episode NFO)
----Breaking Bad s01e01.tbn (episode image)
----Breaking Bad s02e02.mkv
.

Hi hdmkv

Firstly, both the .Net version and the Java version gives the same output (mostly, but still readable by Mede8er). Secondly, yes, it's as simple as point and click :)

My app will take the XML/NFO file and convert to Mede8er compliant XML in the same folder where the XML/NFO file is located, so your directory structure would be fine. However, I recommend testing on a small sample folder to make sure the NFO files are read correctly. If they are not read correctly, feel free to send me a few sample NFO files and I will see how I can read the NFO files to give the correct output.

Skylinc, wanted to pop back in and say thanks again. I like TViXIE-2-M8R for TV shows for Mede8er over ThumbGen by miles. Latter is clunky and bloated. Your solution, just the opposite.

Could you please explain how exactly the xml-file is structured with regard to position of the single fields as well as lenght/size?

I try to use my TViXiE files with the 600X3D and "actors", to give an example, is cut on the right side. Furthermore, I would like to re-arrange the fields to my needs...

Thanks a lot,

Mat

Hi there. Thanks for a very useful thread for us with Tvixie - I have found out how to create the xml file, no problem, but I have 400+ folders and it will take a very long time for me to create the *.xml file. Is there any way you can "batch create" the xml files?
I'm a newbie in this, forgive me if you have already answered my question.

Thanks in advance.

If you already have all your movies scraped for TViXIE and you have the TViXIE files, then just select the parent folder to convert all of them. You don't have to select each movie folder to do the conversion.

Hello Skylinc,

I just purchased the Med1000x3D.
Until now i used the Dvico streamer and also used the TViXiE SW to display movie information. Crrently i have 6T of movies and for each movie i have movie information trailers. I dont want to do it agian (spent lot of time to crate it) with the new streamer.

Now form this from i understood that with your App i can convert the TViXiE MovieInfo.tvixie to  M8R XML and this is great!

the problem that i cannot find your App in this forum. Can you please help me and let me know where can i find your
2M8R.zip or TViXIE2M8RSetup.zip?

I really appreciate if you help me.

BTW, do you now how I can present the trailer with the Med1000x3D?
with the Dvico i only and the word "Preview_Moviename.mov" and i meaned to run the trailer form the movie information wall.

Thanks,
Lior

The files you are looking for are attached on the first post on the bottom:
http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,6782.0.html

But why not use the internal Mede8er scraper?

Just give it a try, works pretty fast in scraping all things again if you have no bandwith internet constraints and your movie folders are properly named.
Just first try it on some test folder with some test movie folders below.

You can find the guide here:
http://www.mede8er.com/mede8er_support_user_guides.htm

Look at:
X2 & X3 Series - Movie Scraper Online User Guide
X2 & X3 Series - TV Series Scraper Online User GuideX2 Series

It will also add the Trailer links to your movie.xml files.
Read the  Mede8er 400X/500X Beginners Guide
or Mede8er 500X2/400X2/450X2 Beginners Guide

Also check the Couto X3D Newbies Guide first.

Please don't PM me but post on the forum.

Hello,

Thank you very much I found it  :).

I have not received the streamer yet. I am pretty sure that I am going to use the internal Mede8er scraper, but I would like to have also the option to use the TViXiE as backup.

Regarding the trailer: today I download the trailer (from HD-Trailers.net) and add it to the movie folder. Is there any possibly to link the existing trailer that I already have to the trailer icon on the Mede8er? or it is only through the web search?

BTW, what is the quality of the trailer if using the web search? is it HD?

Thanks,
Lior

We will release a new version tomorrow that also supports local movie trailer play and you just copy the Trailers into the appropriate movie folders and name as foll  -  xxxxxxxx.trailer.*    * = file extension     xxxxxx can be any name

The Web Based YouTube trailer functionality is set to stream 720p if available on YouTube and if not it will then stream the next available quality.

This is the typical 720p quality you will get

Again, thank you for the fast response.

I am very glad that you will have this feature.

I hope that the transition from Dvico to Med1000x3D streamer will be smooth... :)

Thanks,
Lior

It should be smooth but its a very different player so you need to do some reading and check out Online User Guides
