It seems the resume function is not working.
This is what I do...

Select a movie which is installed on the internal hard drive.
  • play it for some time.
    press the stop button
and select the movie again and press play.
The movie starts then from the beginning.

I tried this with a movie ISO file, or playing from an unpacked VIDEO_TS source.
When I played the movie Avatar, looking in the movie source directory learns that there is a Avatar.ISO.t file assuming this is the file instructing the player that there is a resume.
I did not have this behavior with Firmware version 1.0.2,

Product & firmware version: Mede8er MED500X2 f/w v1.0.3
Audio: HDMI output > Philips Flatscreen
Audio setting: SPDIF Passthrough / Night mode OFF
Video: HDMI output > Philips Flatscreen
Video setting: 1080p 50Hz,24Hz ON,16:9
Media Source: Wired Network > Internal disk drive

Do you have this with only one movie ore all?
Did you set resume mode to on in setup?

Play for some time! That requires a working timer function.

Resume never works. Neither after playing a movie for 30 minutes or so.

It worked when it came out of the box with version 1.0.1 version installed.
Somehow not with 1.0.2 of 1.0.3 (tried after downgrading).

Weird...

Have you tried to do a reset factory defaults and set all settings manually again?
Did you try to install the firmware again by using fw recovery mode and not using config restore?

No, will try that tonight...

I think the default Firmware installation procedure is a Firmware recovery mode procedure, am I correct?
Only the last time, after I downgraded to 1.0.2 I performed a config restore. The other times I manually entered the config.
