Naming files for Mini-Series
« on: October 20, 2011, 02:56:30 PM »
Hi,

I'm very much a newbie to both forums and media players, so please excuse me if I don't do things right - I am trying!

I just bought a 500X2 with 2Tb HDD inside. I have lots of questions and problems! Here is one that is really annoying me:

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to get YAMJ & Y2M Beta8 to load the correct info and artwork for mini-series.

My folder structure is:
Movies\Mini Series\Mini Series name\Season1\movie files.mkv

For example for the series Bleak House (2005) I have:
J:\My Videos\Movies\Mini Series\Bleak House (TV mini series 2005)\Season 1
and then in the folder Season 1, I have the following files:
Bleak House (TV mini series 2005) [Disc1] S01 E01.mkv
Bleak House (TV mini series 2005) [Disc1] S01 E02.mkv
Bleak House (TV mini series 2005) [Disc1] S01 E03.mkv
and so on for three discs and a total of 15 episodes.

The result of  clicking "Run YAMJ" in Y2M is a blank (black) fanart with a grey "no banner available" rectangle in the top left and a list of the episodes - each one titled "unknown"!

I get this for all my mini series so I am obviously doing something wrong or YAMJ is not doing something that it should!

Is my folder structure and file naming correct?

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Addendum to my earlier post:

I set up a test jukebox and let YAMJ loose on this one folder (Bleak House) as mentioned in my original post. I'm just trying to narrow it down to get at the root of the problem.

After running YAMJ, I noticed this error in the moviejukebox.ERROR.log file:
Code: [Select]
[18:08:54 - Thread-2] ERROR moviejukebox  - PosterScanner: 'filmaffinity' plugin doesn't exist, please check you moviejukebox properties. Valid plugins are : impawards / google / motechnet / thetvdb / imdb / themoviedb / cdon / yahoo / (Is this the right way to show the error?)
I have seen this error many times when scanning my main folders - what is it for and how do I get rid of it?

I have not altered the original installation in any way apart from telling YAMJ where my folders are to scan, so it can't be me - or can it?

Here is the moviejukebox.log file from my simple little scan:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3334489/moviejukebox.log
Edit: The log was too long to post - hope it is okay to post it like this.

There seems to be a bunch of stuff in there that doesn't seem right to me. It all seems a bit "Greek" to me!!!

Is there anything that I need to fix or change to get this working?

Thanks for any help!

I was struggling through the log again, trying to understand what YAMJ is doing.

How do you tell what site it is searching for artwork?

Can you direct YAMJ to a specific site or add an extra site to the scanning list?

I found some nice artwork on thetvdb.com but the scanner doesn't seem to be looking there from what I can see?

Please help me someone.
