I could answer because I don't have these problems, but this won't help you much.

Solved the issue with slow network speed. Network speed was only 360kb/s, so streaming was not an option. Did reboot of X2, didn't helped (not even power cycle). The only thing that did help was Reset to factory defaults and after that reboot of X2. Looks like something strange happened, maybe one of the processes in the OS was burning CPU power (any possibilities to enable telnet or ssh connection to X2, to use TOP command for getting CPU times?
Problem with torrents is still there, checking data takes to much CPU power, torrent service is taking a looooong time to start.
Maybe some of those issued will be solved in future versions (fingers crossed).

It's torrent! My system locked up yesterday trying to download a huge file to test it's contents. The strange thing was that when I turned the X2 Off, torrent was still working according to my router leds. When I tried to reboot the normal software couldn't push the torrent code aside, everthing was like treacle. It has only happended once, and I have no idea what I did to trigger it as torrent is still going now without a problem...it's a huge file.

As already mentioned before in other simular topics re torrent: Torrent downloading can be a really CPU/network intensive process, so when setting it on max speed, you might run into trouble if you are also doing other things during downloading torrent files with it.
Have seen simular discussions about this kind of issues on other simualar HW media players and torrent dowlnoad options, and there is just the following thing to take into account: - don't download torrents with a mediaplayer if you also want to use it at the same time for somethings else (wait until torrent download is finished). The tiny cpu in this players is simple not powerfull enough to multitask on high cpu intensive processes. Overloading it will result in upredictable instable behaviour.
Sanji might consider the following options to prevent users getting frustrated because they are running into trouble because using torrent download and trying to do all kind of other activities the same time: 1] pause torrent downloading first before a user starts to play media or do something else 2] forbid to play media or any other thing as long a there is an active torrent running (up or downloading) 3] remove the torrent option to prevent any instability caused by overloading (this is my personal number one, as I think a high cpu power NAS or PC is more suitable for this kind or work as long as media players have not a more powerfull processor and loads of memory on board).
Just my 2 cents....

Another issues is that well before a file is downloaded completely, you have already become a Torrent Server. So you can end up with Torrent working hard at sending the file out at huge transfer rates, whilst downloading it at some pitiful rate. So I manuaaly change the upload Rate to 5 from Unlimited...and surprise surprise... the download rate then increases! I think we should try and lower the dafault upload speed in the BT config, or try and fix the Save Config problems where changes are lost on shutdown.

Ok I have managed to lock my box up completely using torrent. By waiting an age to connect to the GUI and see what was going on, Bt is stuck doing a "verifying local data" but the % is stuck, and it's hogging all the CPU time. I am in the process of using slave mode to hopefull remove the mess in the torrent directory.
I have managed to delete the torrent directory. I shall take this opportunity to defrag and then see if the X2 boots with a problem.
The prioroty of BT needs lowering so if it does get into a mess it dosn't take the box over. Also if it does get into a mess it's impossible to delete things via the X2 gui, as the torrent files are not media files. Deleting the parent directory for any torrent fails as well, becuase the contents can't be deleted.

Having tidied everthing up using slave mode everything is back to normal. I would like to see the priority of BT lowered before I try again.

I think this happened to me, CPU was overloaded by torrent deamon.

Have you done what I did, and used slave mode to empty the transsmissionDownload folder? We need to check the BT Transmission forum for clues as this software is installed "as is". If they have a newer version for linux that fixes issues we will have to ask Sanji to change to that version.

When everything stalled I rebooted X2, when NAS came online, moved already downloaded files to another dir, rebooted X2 again, removed torrent file from in BT deamon, moved dir back to correct folder and added back torrent file. Then forced verification again, and it went through. Problems with torrent downloading can happen many times, expecially if you are downloading bigger torrents, like 5Gb and over. Haven't had problems with small torrent packages.

If you powerdown with a big torrent set up it will verify whats already been downloaded on reboot, and this hogs the cpu time. There isnt enough spare to run the torrent web gui. I have found an android app that uses rpc and bypasses web gui. I can monitor verify with that when the x2 is clogged up.
