This Topic is as a general question to Sanji/Mede8er NOT postet in the Firmware thread, as it does not belong there!

To be honest: I loved my Mede8er MED500X when I bought it about 1 Year ago. The features are awsome. Unfortunately this Company seems to have more interest in selling product one time and forget about their users. Or how can it be that there are several really annoying bugs in the last Firmware (simply read Firmware Forum). I don't even find an answer if or when there wil be a new firmware for Med500X. Why?: I truely belive it's just because Sanji just wants to sell the new products  BUT the new ones also has several issues, some are mentioned here and others can be found in other forums.
So it's classic "banana ware" without a perfective maintenance, so it stays unready.
Most problems are solved and discovered by the Users. Isn't there ANY quality management in place?

I still have my Mede8er but I will not buy MED500X2 or recommend Mede8er any more.

As I read a lot in several forums so I know these are not "just my 2 cent"

So mede8er, up 2 you. Show us we are wrong. Give us a firmware and a product which is somehow tested and does not have basic failures.  Give us a Product which is worth the 170€ you are charging. Mede8er does have the potential to be the best MPC I've ever heard of, but not if it goes on like this.

Realtek make money from selling chips, not software. Sanji cannot control when Realtek chose to drop support for old chips in order to sell new ones. That is how this market has always worked, as Simga chip users are well used to.

So your comments apply to ALL Mediaplyers using Sigma and Realtek chips.

So the Errors in 4.0.4 are all goingt down to Realtek SDK? I don't think so. There are many point to improve this. Sanji doesn't take the SDK and uses it unmodified. Have a look at the Errors in the last firmware, this in mainly not a SDK problem.

Else give us the sources, the SDK and the build-chain I'm pretty sure there will be lots of improvements. Lets see if its a SDK-Problem or just written badly.

SDK is Realtek propriety code for sure, so there we are stuck again on the same.

This subject has already been discussed many times here on the forum.

For your reference:

Nothing more to add to this, so I am closing this thread to prevent going in circles.
A waste of energy.
