Where can I buy it? Is it already available? At least not in the official shop.

Just get yourself a AK-601 Wireless Mini Keyboard...
Our local wholesaler Esquire sell them.

Personally I would wait for the Mede8er MEDX2KEY as it has been specifically designed to work with the X2 series. Advantages over other keyboards like the AK-601

* Built in Back Light function
* Built in Cursor Speed Control adjuster
* Built in Caps Lock LED
* Built in easy GUI function buttons -- Play/ Pause, Enter, Return
* Mede8er icons on the function keys -- Use keyboard for all normal remote functions
* Included USB extension cable for the receiver
* Proper Metal dome keyboard
* ICASA Approval

Availability in SA +- end Sept

Friend of mine found this on eBay . . .
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220846265102&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123

Would anybody be able to see from the specs if this would be a suitable alternative for those that are too impatient to wait ??

I raised your question to Mede8er.

In Europe it seems that it is just released recently.
Should also be available in SA soon I expect.
