Hello Forum, I have a MED200X unit that was working very well, until it suddenly disconnected the HDD. Now the unit does not scan for or pick-up any USB devices at all. The unit powers up as normal and displays the main menu interface and navigation on the interface function as normal. Latest firmware version is 1.3

Any ideas what may be wrong.

Sudden problems tend to either code corruption, or a true hardware failure.  If your getting the blocky logo when booting it means the bootloader is still functioning, and it uses different code to the main software. So there is a good chance it still has a working USB driver. So download the 200 firmware and do  an emergency install.

Hallo, I have the same problem with my newly bought MED200X.  I've upgraded to the latest firmware but unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.

I’ve used my external HDD without any problems then suddenly it is not recognizing it anymore.  If I connect other USB devices all is fine and I can view without any issues.  Why is it only giving problems with that specific HDD and why just suddenly.  Nothing changed on the HDD?

Please assist.

Suggest to connect your USB drive to your pc and run chkdsk on it to verify if you don't have filesystem errors.
