Hi,I have installed the v.2fw and because of the problem with the greek subtitles I've decided to go back to 1.22a,but when I install it I reboot it and nothing shows up on the tv,the led is blue but nothing on my tv.When I dont reboot it after the install and make the setup and go to the media files I dont see my harddisc. Can someone tell me the exactly procedure to go from fw3 to fw1.22a?I am again with the new fw until I get exact directions.

That looks like the tv sys is on the wrong settings. When you change firmware, all the settings resets to the default. Press Tv Sys. on the remote twice and wait 3 seconds. Repeat it till the screen appears.

Hi apotheker

NOTE: Once you update to V2.x you cannot easily go back to older versions if you are using an internal Hard Drive that was formatted with the Mede8er. The update process will not damage your Hard Drive contents but the Hard Drive will then be shown as HDD1 instead of C.  If you are not using an internal Hard Drive than you can roll back to a earlier version without any problems.

Pls dont panic as your content is still on the HD but just not visible to the Mede8er with the older version firmware. I suggest you stay with V2 as our engineers will look at the Greek subtitle problem and fix it. Pls we need more details of the subtitle problem and a sample file so that we can test this.

If we cannot resolve your problem within a short time we sill give you a workaround solution. We will contact you tomorrow.

Hi apotheker,

My best guess is you missed one of the important steps in the upgrade procedure:

- use recovery mode fw upgrade  procedure (not the upgrade in mede8er setup menu)
- do not use restore config but set all settings manually
- unplug power and replug after update is finished.

Nice to hear that your problems are solved. Also the greek subtile problem solved?

A happy X-mas.
