In which folder path do you have the following: moviejukebox-Mede8er.properties a subfolder called MediaInfo
My guess is you have set the yamj path wrong.

You don't have YAMJ yet .. only Y2M. Rename your YAMJ folder to C:\YAMJ if you don't have YAMJ, get it here : http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/downloads/listExtract to C:\YAMJ, then copy Y2M into subfolder C:\YAMJ\Y2MB7 Download also Mediainfo from here : http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download/Choose the CLI version, extract to C:\YAMJ\Mediainfo Set your jukebox to C:\My_Jukebox, then give it a try .. Folder List :C:\YAMJ --> YAMJ root, contain YAMJ C:\YAMJ\Mediainfo --> Mediainfo CLI C:\YAMJ\Y2MB7 --> YAMJ to Mede8er -- Run YAMJ_To_Mede8er.exe (or create shortcut to this)

I would like such a video instruction too. Setting this all up is damn hard! I'll give it another go, but will start adding my experiences on review sites soon. I hate this crap, takes me all afternoon and all it does so far is play a move that I need to search for through a folderview of the internal harddisc

that got me half way there. I can't get the device to work on my windows XP machine, some problem with the devices USB3
I called the support line here in the Netherlands, but they can help me again on monday, as there tech support has left the building.
Any idea how I can fix my winXP so it recognised the X2?

Hi djavin
Are you using the Blue USB3.0 cable that was supplied with the MED500X2?
With XP I suggest you connect the MED500X2 to your PC with the blue USB3.0 cable and then open Control Panel and then select 'Add Hardware' and let it scan your system.

Yes, I do use the blue cable. The device seems to be recognised, but just doesn't appear and the light on front of the device turns off?

Hi djavin
I just tested the X2 with XP and it takes some some for XP to install the correct USB drivers so you must be a little patient and also try another USB Port on your PC.

Unfortuantely the X2 dosn't achieve 3TB using GPT. It's supports 3 TB though the use of 4k sector drives. The total number of these larger 4k sectors remains within the MBR limit for the maximum number of sectors. These drives can either be true 4k aligned drives, or emulate 512B clusters for XP. They can't do both at the same time. This is either done using a jumper or software "before" you format. It is discussed here:- http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,5635.0.htmlHere is information about using external 4k drives. http://blog.fosketts.net/2009/12/23/drobo-xp-beware-4k-advanced-format-drives/The problem with the XP alignment it is done via an emulation layer in the corntroller which can slow disk access down. Most web sites which test drives are now testing by how much. Once aligned for XP, XP can see the MBR, as MBR support is native to XP. The MBR tells XP where the partitons are. XP can't find the MBR on a native 4K aligned drive. Now we have had one post where the X2 users installed his own drive and formatted it with XP alignment, using the X2. He hasn't reported problems resulting from this. This is easy to change if the drive uses a jumper. Not so easy if the drive uses software.
