Attention X2 users

Please download the following demo file:
http://www.filesonic.com/file/1064751684/MED500X2_demo_XML.rar

Short Version http://www.mede8er.org/artwork/temp/MED500X2_XML_Demo_short_Version.rar

You can get an idea of this XML data in action by watching the YouTube clip.
This will demonstrate the true power of the XML metadata feature embedded within your X2 Mede8er firmware.

Extract the RAR file to a drive accessible to your X2 and navigate through these folders.
As you focus on each folder you will note the rating, plot, genre, actors, and runtime info appear at the bottom of the screen.

You can use the YAMJ-to-Mede8er application to create these XML files for your own media collection...

Sample structure of such an XML file:

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

As a result, James must get a summer job to cover his upcoming expenses at the decrepit local amusement park, Adventureland, where he falls in love with a witty co-worker, Emily Lewin. This is nice! It's a shame though that the information is not automagically downloaded from the interweb.

I prefer the use of a file list and my own moviesheet design, rather than this overburdend GUI. To state it again: a VideoWall-like GUI to select out of 4000 movies is impractibel for me.

From my persepective Sanji are trying to help users find their media more quickly. Favourites dosn't have to  be a one to one mapping of your hard drive.  You can use it like a page of Desktop Shortcuts pointing to new albums or films.
The New Search functions also allow you to start wil all your Music, or Film's and then use Search to find the one you want.

So it'a all about choice. They havn't "removed" medialibary, leaving you only with Favourites.  Those who  want to re-create something that looks like the Videowall are free to do  so, but they aren't forcing everyone to do it.

P.S I never used the VideoWall, but I do find having  a "few" easily accessible Shortcuts to new albums very handy.

If you have problems with filesonic your ISP may be blocking it.

My ISP was blocking it via DNS.

I had to put this line in my PC's Hosts file:-

78.140.176.186     filesonic.com     www.filesonic.com
