Hi there,

I use Thumbgen to create the folder.jpg and about.jpg files.  The artwork for the folder is coming up and displaying as it should on the movies and series, but the synopsis of the Series are not working.  It works with my movies, but not Series.  I copy the about.jpg into the main Series folder

eg. SERIES\BIG BANG THEORY\SEASON1\series files

The about.jpg file will be in the SERIES\BIG BANG THEORY folder

1stly, is it possible,
2ndly, if it is, what am I doing wrong ?

If you have the about.jpg in the same directory with sub-directories, I believe it will not show the about.jpg, but instead try to display the folder.jpg within the sub-directories.  It would be nice if it would first show the about.jpg, and if you click it, then show the folder.jpg from the sub-directories.  That would be a nice way to see the Series summary before displaying the episodes, but I don't think it works that way.  I may test it because I'd like it that way too.

I can now confirm that the about.jpg file will not be used if the folder it's in has sub-folders.  That means you have two options for series...

01.  Put all of the episodes in the same folder as the series about.jpg and have no episode sub-folders.
This will show the about.jpg for the series, but while the about.jpg is being displayed, if you click through it will show a list of episode file names.  It will not show the folder.jpg or about.jpg for the episodes (and in fact they don't exist in this setup).  You then scroll through the list of episode file names and select one.

...or...

02.  Standard setup that has a series folder.jpg, but does not have a series about.jpg,  This would of course have a folder.jpg and about.jpg for each episode sub-folder.

I wish they would tweak this so if a folder in Video Wall has an about.jpg it gets displayed even if that folder has sub-folders.  After displaying the about.jpg, then display the folders as it does now.  If you don't want to display an about.jpg when it's in the same folder with sub-folders, then just don't put an about.jpg in the folder and it would work like it does now.  Maybe wishful thinking, but this slight tweak should be very easy to implement and would make series browsing better.

Thanks for the effort and information Unreal, its really appreciated.  It would of been a nice option to have it that way.  But life has taught me that you  not always going to get everything that you want.  Once again, thank you
