Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I see this new model has internet browser and you can stream online videos. Will it be possible to stream Veetle's HD channels?

Video cannot be handled by the browser. It is handled via IPTV portals, of which  only a limted number of services are suported.

It's isn't ignorance. I posted an overview (from my perspective, not Sanji's) only today which trys to explain the why users shouldn't expect the PC experience from this dinky little box.

http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,5518.0.html

It dosn't matter what product a company makes, they can only be positive, and say what it does do. The list of things any product dosn't do is infinite. Unfortunately we make assumptions, if it does this it MUST do that. It's isn't always true.

I understand why  they can't use the browser for video. It would be nice if these IPTV gui's couldn't be written using Java and downloadable. Then you could decide for yourself what IPTV portals to use and the Gui code would be downloadable as required.

This is way beyond what Sanji can do with the current SDK. It would require Realtek to jump ahead and join the whole "cloud" idea.

Your looking for a device which will stream the sport you want!   I doubt you will get a device which satisfies your specific request.

Before the X2 users had to stream web streams via a UPNP media server on a PC. That option is still possible. Google  If Veetle can be handled by a Upnp media server.
