Hi I'm new to this forum and just recently bought the 300X media8er and have a couple of questions.

First in the box it was printed that the flash memory is 128MB is this true?

Second if I transfer movies from PC to the new internal hard drive (2TB Seagate installed at the shop where i bought the media8er ) the process is very very slow which I think is not normal could there be a problem in my set-up.

Please help. Thanks

Using USB connection yoou'll have tansfer rate about 20-30MBps, if you have it lower, than it could be source disk fragmentation, or USB1.1 connection is being used (NOT USB2.0).

You can also have higher transfer rate, if you're using SATA connection (up-to 60MBps) but you'll have to put your disk along with PC.

I've read the manual and was able to check the firmware and it is already V 1.4. Regarding the hard disk transfer of files, i did try using the MD300X USB port and attached an external hard drive to it with movies then I copied all the movie files from it to my internal harddrive which i also formatted using the internal software of MD300X.

The process is still slow though i was able to copy all the movies after so many hours i even slept on it along the way.  I guest i have to live with this problem because ive tried playing the movies i copied inside the internal harddrive and they seem to be working fine with audio as well.

Just a follow up on the issue, how would i be able to measure the trasfer rate of copying files?

You may use Crystal Disk Mark to test your HDD transfer rate (both SATA/USB connection).

Thanks a lot for the information, can i ask one more question?

This is regarding the label in the box of the unit wherein the SPI RAM was printed and it says there that the unit has 128MB, I am a little confuse because in the website MD 300X is suppose to be equipped with 16 MB RAM only so my question is how to really verify if indeed the unit has 128MB inside.

Mede8er has to correct this mislabelling of MD 300X in case the unit has indeed 16MB RAM only......I apologize for the hassle but i think this is a valid concern....Thanks
