Ok I renamed the file and it ran perfectly once. Now when I run it, it brings up the Yamj 2 Mede8er windows accompanied with an Error sound and a window saying "An exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation" but no YAMJ settings window. When I click YAMJ SETTINGS it briefly opens the YAMJ setting window and then crashes. I have deleted the jukebox folder again but it is still erroring in this way.
When this works it is brilliant. I just wish it was a bit less hit and miss :-)

Did you try to point to a folder with only a few media subfolders below it (after you wiped your jukebox folder).?
Can you give some example about the naming of the folders in it and the names? I still expect your issue is caused by some wrong naming of folders or media files.

Just deleted the entire Yamj directory and un rared it again. Run it, point it to correct directories and it works like a dream. Try to do the same folder again as a test immediately afterwards and it crashes. How can this be anything to do with the names of the files etc?

That is from experience...... It can give this pattern. See my previous post: http://www.mede8erforum.com/index.php/topic,5069.msg36587.html#msg36587And if you are still stuck, just tell what folder structure you are scanning and what the names of those folders are and the media files in it. Without this info, no way for us to get any clue what is going on.

Hi
I hope i post this on the right place. Is it possible to add a feature to future Yamj relase, so that after fetching movie info it can give you the option to change your movie name, folder and xml file to a user predefined format . All the info needed is already saved inside the movie folder in a xml file.
Would appreciate it. If there is a application out there that can do this with the info already inside the xml, that can also be of help.
Regards

My Y2M doesn't copy the about.jpg. and folder.jpg in my BDMVs Folders. YAMJ found the media and i see the movies with their preview, but when i run Y2M it only copies the standard-files.
this is my folder structure: Y:\Movies\HD Remuxed\Jack in Love (2010) Y:\Movies\HD Remuxed\Jack in Love (2010)\Jack in Love (2010).nfo Y:\Movies\HD Remuxed\Jack in Love (2010)\BDMV
Any ideas?

You need to say which device it is on. The X2 hides those files at the Med end.

I had a previous version of YAMJ and Y2M that worked fine. I had to format my PC an reloaded it with Win7. I've loaded YAMJ 2.4, Mediainfo an Y2M beta7 in c:\ root exactly like suggested.
I then opened Y2M and did all the path settings. I ran Yamj, and it did the whole scan. Then I pressed "done"
Then this error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" "Abort, Retry Ignore" The Jukebox directory is populated, but there is nothing in the Y2M app.
It's driving me mad!!!! I've reinstalled it several times, undated .NEt to ver 4.0 and Java to ver6. No luck.
PLEASE HELP.

Yes, a folder named "2012" seems to be a kill-switch for YAMJ !

There are no issues if you stick to the naming convention for folders and files......

where is the author of y2m? is he still developing??
as we can use XML in med500X2 now it would be usefull to add some more information to the metadata.xml on our med.
- resolution - audio ....
it would be awesome if he could make a genre "HD" so we can use this in XML search!
