Thanks for the update. It has fixed the annoying error when removing files from the collection.

I'm not sure it's 100% fixed, I deleted a few films (everything inc directory etc) and reran YAMJ. However it didnt remove the films from the selection. It didnt exactly crash, but just for fun, I created the directory again and it copied new image/xml files back into the directory!

I've now completely deleted the Jukebox directory, then ran again from the start. Most have been removed except for one for some reason...

I'll keep an eye on it.

Well I installed beta 7 on Windows 7 ultimate (x64) and found I still had exactly the same problem I had posted in the general discussion on beta 6

I D/L and installed the correct version of Yanj to Mede8er as indicated here:-
http://www.mede8er.org/public_beta/YAMJ_To_Mede8er_Beta_7.rar

In the MediaInfo folder I copied the D/loaded MediaInfo_CLI_0.7.43_Windows_x64 files. (as far as I could find these are the latest files)

Previously installed on my system was the latest Java Version 1.6.0_24 x64 from Sun Microsystems.

I set up Yamj's settings as required.

Then on running Yamj to Mede8er the Running Yamj Box came up with the following message:-

"Java is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

In my previous post on the beta6 version Massbommel replied with this answer:-

"Getting these kind of errors mean that something is wrong with your Java setup or with your
windows environment variables. Has nothing todo with YamJToMede8er package.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=java+is+not+recognised+as+an+internal+or+external+command"

I had previously tried googling this but it seems to me that there are numerous fixes for this problem.

I did try a few but got nowhere.

Earlier in the beta 6 discussion Sneferu replied to another user who had exactly the same problem:-

"I had the exact problem with win7 64bit enterprise. Try this.

Find MovieJukebox.bat - it is in the folder you installed the entire package.  Open it with notepad.

It will have a line similar to the following.

java -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -classpath .;resources;lib/* com.moviejukebox.MovieJukebox %*

change it to include the full path to where java is installed.

Below is a sample of my path

C:\Progra~1\Java\jre6\bin\java -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -classpath .;resources;lib/* com.moviejukebox.MovieJukebox %*

save it - try again.#"

NOTE: You need to ensure the path to java matches yours - search in c:\program files\java - you should find it in there.

Sneferu

So I tried Sneferu's fix.

This is the path of my Java folder on my PC:-C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

which made my MovieJukebox.bat file like this:-
===================================================================================
@echo off
rem ***
rem *** Yet Another Movie Jukebox command script
rem ***
rem *** DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN THIS SCRIPT
rem *** UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
rem ***

C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -classpath .;resources;lib/* com.moviejukebox.MovieJukebox %*
===================================================================================
but unfortunately that did'nt work for me either.

My question therefore has any member installed either of these two beta versions on a Windows 7 (x64) P.C. and got it to work correctly.

If so could you please post a step by step guide and if possible your MovieJukebox.bat file so I can compere both against how I am trying to set Yamj 2 Mede8er up. Any other suggestions gratefully recieved.

Apologies about the length of the post, but this is driving me mad.

I have updated Y2M to beta 7 - works fine.  This update to beta7 is only for Y2M - YAMJ is the same version.

In the path to java - try    c:\progra~1    as opposed to     c:\program files

Good Luck

Well, i had the same problem.
I solved it the way sneferu suggested, by editing the MovieJukebox.bat and putting the full path to java in it.
But...

U have to put it between quotes " "  , so u have this:

                      "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xms256m -Xmx1024m -classpath .;resources;lib/* com.moviejukebox.MovieJukebox %*

Hope this helps u out  Wink

Tried both Sneferu and Djiezeskraaist's fixes,but unfortunately neither worked.

Although this time Y2M seemed to actually start certain processes as I could see in the running YAMJ screen i.e using the properties file, then it got to the libraryRoot from properties file ok.

But then came up with a completely new problem with Java
:- A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Enviroment (please see  hs_err_pid1172.log from root folder of Y2M) at the head of this log it indicated a ntdll.dll problem, so raised it as a possible bug with Java, got an email back. Quote from first line of email "We have determined that this report is a new bug and entered the bug into our bug tracking system under Bug ID:7034367"
So as I understand it anybody can read up on this bug using that ID. at their site.
I'll be the first to acknowledge that I know nothing about programming in any form, but considering that both Sneferu and Djiezeskraaist have got Y2M to run ok on their system,s (and I presume other users also) I,m puzzled that I cannot get it to run.

Anyway thanks for the help so far, hopefully though I may get Y2M to work in the future.

awesome thanks !!

is it possible to have it so on the main screen you can simply drop in a directory via copy/past instead of searching on the browse menu (sometimes I  have to scroll hugely depending on which server i am on

To confirm images i simply use largest icons in windows 7  and browse then change video files names within IE

Cheers great work

Beta7 works great on my Vista laptop.
No more anoying errors when i remove a movie  Grin
Thanks for this great piece of software.

I love my MED500 and Y2M as well.
Now my next wish/hope is that the next version of Y2M will handle TV Series a lot better than it does now because i just cannot get it to work properly in this current version.
If someone did succeed, please make an instruction  Roll Eyes

Stef

HI all,

I'm a bit of a noob to this JAMJ business although I do see myself as a bit of a tech head. I'm sorting my media library ahead of delivery of my 400X and have got my movie collection pretty much sorted using Y2M and the instructions found on this site.

Where I'm struggling is TV shows/Series. Can someone please explain to me how I should name my collection to make Y2M see it as a complete series?

My movies and TV shows are all stored on a NAS under (ROOT) Shared Videos (default Share) --> TV Shows --> *Show Name* --> Season 1---> mkv file.

Is my folder structure correct? how should I name the individual episodes?

On the videowall all I want is 2 categories, 'Movies' and 'TV Shows', don't want to bother with genre.

Thanks for any help!

Hi Shizzl,

YAMJ Collect Trailer :
Edit or add lines in moviejukebox.properties
Code:
# Force the jukebox's Trailers files to be overwritten
mjb.forceTrailersOverwrite=true

## Apple Trailers plugin parameters
#
# The desired resolution of trailers from apple trailers site
# Valid resolutions are: 1080p 720p 480p 640
# Choose only one of these values, if a trailer is not found at that resolution then a lower quality one will be looked for.
# Leave this blank or commented out to disable this feature
appletrailers.resolution=1080p
# Flag for selecting download of the movie trailers (true), or streaming over the internet (false)
appletrailers.download=true
appletrailers.max=3
# Use this parameter to determine if appletrailers.trailertypes lists trailer types to include (true) or exclude (false) from being downloaded or linked to
appletrailers.typesinclude=true
# This parameter should contain the trailer types you want to download.
# Examples are: tlr, tsr, clip
appletrailers.trailertypes=tlr,trl,clip,tsr,30sec,640w
# This is the Url to replace all the apple websites to enable downloading
# Urls to be replaced: www.apple.com, movies.apple.com, images.apple.com
appletrailers.replaceurl=www.apple.com

Showing Video Resolution in Default Skin Template :
For example, some generated XML (under movie jukebox) has this line
Code:
<resolution>1280x528</resolution>
Then, putting this line in template (details.xsl in skin folder) will show movie resolution
Code:
<xsl:value-of select="resolution" />

Hope this will help

Did you mean XML on movie folder (metadata) or XML in jukebox folder (YAMJ generated) ?
Resolution info is came from XML in jukebox, but excluded in metadata xml.
