Mediainfo has generated full XML log, but when it's exported to Y2M metadata, some tags are missing.
Currently using Y2Mb7- YAMJ2.5b r2346 - MediaInfo 0.7.44

Might you ask Peter Butler (Y2M creator) to include video resolution in generating XML tag.

just updated my YAMJ and have a question.
some of the movies (lucky only 5) don't have fanart, they all have folder image (dvd cover) but  seems like YAMJ didn't find fanart (background). I made .NFO in notepad (with copied URL from IMDB.com) and save it in folder with that movie...however it still didn't output fanart...how can I make that work?
example movie called Altitude (2010)

edit:

one more question, how can I remove that grey thing on the right side of fanart??? the window with on/off watchbar , click up, click down........and so on?Huh it is ok to have it on computer, but on my mede8er it doesn't make sense to have it, when I can't use it like on computer database.

I know this is a petty question but where are you guys downloading this application from?  I can't seem to find it so I'm downloading Y2M_BETA3_YAMJ_r1978_32Bit_27Nov2010.rar.

Can anyone tell me where to download BETA 7?

Thanks one and all. Smiley

I'm following the instructions perfectly and I am getting an immediate error when I try and open the application.  This hasn't happened before.  It used to work.

I am running Windows XP Pro and the Y2M folder is in the root directory of my D:\ drive.  I don't know how to rectify this.

Any ideas and thank you for helping out. Much appreciated.

Be sure you have installed latest Net Framework update.

Thank you for the pointers.  I have it working now with one last problem.

I installed the NET framework and everything goes well.  I get the DVD art, the processing and all but when I click the Run YAMJ To Mede8er button, it takes a millisecond to complete and nothing writes to the folders of the movies.  It simply says Completed.  No JPEG's are generated.  Maybe the screenshot will help:

What version of Net Framework did you install? 4.5?
And what is your WinXP service pack level?

I have .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1, .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1, .NET Framework 3.5., .NET Framework 4 Client Profile and .NET Framework Extended.

Also, I have Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3, v.3264

I had this configuration before and I had YAMJ working fine.  I did a reinstall of me entire system a few weeks ago and after that, this application never worked again. Sad

I love this! However, after successfully running it once, I now have the following problem when I add new movies or try to run it on other folders.

The YAMJ portion of the program completes successfully i.e. I have a Juke box folder with lots of HTML and pictures etc in it but as soon as I click done on the Yamj settings window, the program stops working with the following message.

I am running Win7 64bit, AMD Phenom II x6 and have the latest .NET framework from Microsoft site.

TIA

Shaun

Why is your movie folder to scan entry blank?

I dunno why it's blank? it never gives me chance to enter anything into that window. I'm guessing here but maybe because I didn't enter anything in the YAMJ settings window as I just wanted it to crash (which it always does now) so I could screen grab it?

I'm open to answers though :-)

Can you try the following:
- remove all stuff in your jukebox folder (users/shawn/desktop/jukebox)
- start YamJtoMede8er again. Is it now starting without any error?
- set now movie folder to scan in yamj settings and then run again
- if you than exit it and start it again and if gives again the error than something is wrong with one or more of your movie folder names or names of your media files.

Advise regarding naming movie folders:
- give them the same name as you find them in www.imdb.com

Advise regarding naming of media files like .mkv and avi
- give them the same name as found in www.imdb.com, so e.g. Avatar (2009).mkv

Hi,

I have done as you suggested and YAMJ bit always works correctly and scans the folder and creates the JUKEBOX folder with all the HTML inside it. As soon as I press DONE in order for the next window to do it's stuff it crashes like the picture I posted.

If I delete the entire YAMJ directory and then extract the downloaded files again (in essence a reinstall of the YAMJ and Y2M software), it works once correctly and then returns to the behaviour I have described above.

I suggest ot check your movie folder names and media file names.
Not following the proper file name convention might cause this issues as you described.

See also http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/FileNaming for proper filenaming.
