Hi all.

I am an extremely happy Mede8er owner.

Question: does it make sense to connect the Mede8er from time to time via USB to a PC and defrg the Internal HDD?

What about the external USB disks? Disconnect them from the Mede8er, connect them to a PC and run a defrag and then reconnect to the Mede8er?

Issues with that? Suggestions?

Thanks for your input.

Hi proghead,

Defrag the drive if you've been copying a lot of files on and off it.
It will improve access time.

Same for external USB disks if you do a lot of deleting and copying files on it.

Just the same as you would do with a PC. If there is not much change on your disks, defragging will not give speed improvement.
