Hi ArCadE,

I had noticed the same issue with this Tvixie version on an XP PC from a friend and also used the mentioned workaround to get it installed finally.....

I couldn't run it on my XP desktop, but on laptop with Windows 7 it worked fine. On the other hand, when I installed it in virtula XP machine (on Windows 7 laptop), it worked with no problem... :-\

Hey Guys,

Anybody got the Peggie template working? Either I am a moron (which is possible) or it's not working for me with v1.3. I searched on the fora but can't seem to find a sure guide to getting the template ready for use.

So anybody able to help me out there,

Cheers

If you use Peggy template with Mede8er model (from Models list), then  in the Templates window you can't see it, because Mede8er model has background size of 1920X1080 , and Peggy template is for models with background size of 1280x720. You either can change Models.html file (in Tvixie root directory) for Mede8er player or use WD HD TV as a default model....
I hope this will help you, cheers...

Thanks MarioB but ive tried using the WD HD as the default model. Ive also tried editing the xml file to set Mede8er to 1280x720 but in both instances i still cannot see the Peggie template?

Alternatively does anyone have a good template for the Mede8er on TViXIE? (Way better than Movie builder gui)

why doesnt tvixie shows it?

and sometimes my tvixie freezes on Win7 32 bit. Ultimate

Ah...my mistake when i extracted the templates into the folder it created an addtional folder which was empty. So the actual template was a level further down and thats why TViXIE could not pick it up. Doh!!!

The question about a good 1920x1080 template still stands though.

Just played with this new Tvixie version with Mede8er support in it and fanart.

It really looks fantastic, no need anymore to use EMM for me...., Tvixie now does it all!

Tvixie is now a great tool, easy to use for the beginner with a very nice result.

Hi all -- i cannot get tvixie to produce anything like this,

I just get cover art. The "swedish" template disapears when i select mede8er as the player in the settings.

Any help? Or can anyone upload the template they are using.

Cheers  :)

MediaPCguy the info above should answer your question.

I read it, i left me confused  :(

Do you still need to use Ember Media Manager and TViXie?

The code vuilnis posted in Post15 -- i didnt know where he put it. Did he overwrite the exsiting 1080p Standard template?  ???

I'm going to have another play now...   ;)

The way im using TViXIE at the moment is as follows:
I downloaded the Peggie template and extracted it into the TViXIE templates folder.

http://www.tvixie.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=673

I set the default model in TViXie to WD HD TV, which should then allow you to see the Peggie template in TViXIE. Then its just a matter of using the program as normal. Does that help?

Does that help?

Thanks Supernaut - i have now tried the PEGGIE v1 and v2 - and still no luck  :(

I set the player to WD HD TV -- and i see it is supposed to make two files - "background.jpg" and "folder.jpg". I am only getting the "folder.jpg" created. No background file.

EDIT:

ah, Supernaut  -- i have to update my post - it's working now!!  ;D Thanks for your help with the peggie template.

The problem was either:

  • It could not save the "background.jpg" onto a network drive (although i do not understand why it would be able to do the "folder.jpg" if that was the reason)
  • It was downloading a cache version of the image each time - as i kept trying the same movie. So maybe it didnt update the picture i wanted

Anyway, its good now :) Cheers
